Structural Repairs to Jetty

CLIENT: NEW HOLLAND BULK SERVICES LIMITED

Project description

Following a collision by a vessel, Cube 3 were contracted to carry out structural repairs to the 1920's built jetty in the river Humber.

The structure consists of steel members with riveted connections with full concrete encasement. The damage caused by the ship was extensive at the point of impact and concrete had to be broken away to expose the connections. Damaged steel members were removed and replaced by new sections and bolted connections. On completion of the steelwork the members will be encased in concrete. Cantilevered timber walkways and new handrails will be installed following completion of the structural work.
